Rainbow Room International confirmed their place as Scotland’s top salon group recently as they took part in Glasgow’s first ever GLAM in the City exhibition. The event was a three-day extravaganza of hair, fashion and beauty hosted by television personalities Gok Wan and Lorraine Kelly.

RRI were the only hair sponsor at the event and were involved in all aspects including show work on the main stage, backstage styling of VIPs and models, and styling all 10 Miss Scotland finalists for the grand final. The company also took an exhibition stand where they retailed their products, offered consultations, demonstrated the latest styling techniques and gained new clients.

To continue their fundraising activities, the team ran a hair lottery, where they asked every visitor to their stand donate £1 towards their chosen charities - HAIRaising and Yorkhill Children’s Hospital. Using a clever lottery form, the company gathered the data of 1000s of women. Many generous visitors donated much more and the group raised over £3500 for charity over the weekend.

The artistic team presented ‘Ready Steady Look’ slots on the mainstage where two teams of stylists competed against each other to create on trend fashion and avant garde looks, which were then voted for by the audience. This was a highlight on the mainstage and was very well received by the audience.

RRI director and show coordinator Shannon Fleeson said: “The event was a huge success for us and we raised an incredible £3500 for charity. The team were outstanding and every visitor who stopped by our stand enjoyed a mini makeover and consultation. It was a fantastic opportunity for our team to increase our brand awareness to a large audience and gain new clients.”
