An iconic and contemporary up-do created by setting shoulder length hair for a smooth bouncy curl and then backcombing sections at the root to build height and stability. Curls through the mid lengths and ends were teased out with the fingers and backcombed to create a dishevelled texture while the sides were smoothed back and pinned away from the face. This classic high ponytail has been given a twist by using a classic corn row technique in a spiral formation.  The added ponytail was then braided using a rope effect technique and cut bluntly at the ends to finish off this modern look.

Natural micro curls were given tight layers in a graduated shape that built length, with soft layers through the internal shape. The beautiful ethereal texture was accentuated with differing shades of copper applied to give the illusion of light and shadow through the shape.

Long shoulder length hair was crimped to create texture and volume. Width and an organic shape was created through the back sections with back brushing while the front was smoothed flat from the centre parting and swept around the head. The top sections of the back were pinned to leave the ends free and braids were added at the centre parting and hairline to frame the face.
